Welcome.....St Patrick’s School is true to its mission of being a welcoming faith community, centred on the person of Jesus Christ. Visitors to the school often comment on the warmth of the school community, demonstrated by the staff, students and families of the school. As an integral part of the Catholic Church, our mission is also to help develop the full potential of each person, drawing on the riches of the past and present and fostering hope in the future. Even though St Patrick’s is only a very small school with a varying enrolment of between 60 and 80 students, children are encouraged to participate.

End of Term 2 The students had a wonderful time on the last day of school while participating in activities that celebrated and acknowledged the vast contributions of our Indigenous Australians. The year 6 leaders did a wonderful job of leading each of the groups. Thank you to Miss Preston for facilitating these wonderful activities. Early Years Expo Organisation for our first annual ‘Early Years Expo’ on the morning of the 25th July is well underway. Under 5’s from the Allora community are coming along including those from the C&K Kindy and Headstart. The local coffee van will be operating on the morning and all parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their children. The morning is about opening our doors and promoting the fine work of our early years educators from our local area. There will be story time, painting, games and much more. We hope to see you there! Radii Surveys - Have Your Say Again in 2016 the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office has engaged the Research Australia Development and Innovation Institute (RADII) to conduct our School Improvement Surveys. These surveys provide our school with an opportunity to gain valuable data from parents, staff and students. The Surveys will be conducted during Catholic Education Week (CEW) in Week 3 of this term and it is an expectation that all students from years five and six undertake the electronic survey here at school. The survey that students will complete is separate and different to the one that parents and teachers receive. Parents with email addresses will receive the email directly to their email as recorded on our school data base. Our school will use the data to steer future improvement planning at St Patrick’s. I encourage as many people as possible to complete the short survey and have their feedback recorded. The survey, like most, is anonymous and used only for the purposes of school improvement at a local and diocesan level. Taking Enrolments for 2017 –
We are now taking enrolment applications for next year. To assist in planning and resourcing we are asking parents to make contact with the office if they have not done so already. If you know of someone that is considering St Patrick’s for their child / children, please ask them to contact the school office. |
